The Critical Care Department at Asian Heart Institute is staffed with a highly skilled team of more than 15 experts who are available round-the-clock to provide exceptional care. Our hospital is well-equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies that require urgent intervention, including Chest Pain, Breathing Difficulties, Loss of Consciousness, Sudden Paralysis, Seizure or Stroke symptoms, Acute Abdominal Pain, Bleeding, Fever, Poisoning, Drug Overdose, Intoxication, and Initial Accident Treatments.

Our critical care team is composed of Senior and Junior Doctors, Specialist Nurses, Physiotherapists, Technicians, and Consultants from various medical specialties. With extensive experience and expertise, we ensure that our patients receive the highest level of treatment and care in our state-of-the-art facility.

We offer immediate and effective interventions for Heart Attacks and Brain Strokes. Patients presenting with Heart Attack symptoms within six hours of symptom onset are offered Primary Angioplasty, a procedure conducted in our Cardiac Cathlab. This procedure involves the immediate transfer of the patient from the Casualty Department, followed by the opening of Blocked Arteries through Angioplasty and Stenting. It is widely regarded as the best treatment for Heart Attacks, effectively preventing damage to the heart muscles. Alternatively, we also administer Clot-Dissolving medicine for Heart Attacks, which yields favourable results by breaking down the clot and restoring blood flow through the artery. This approach can be complemented with planned Angioplasty at a later stage. For Heart Attack patients seeking medical attention within the critical 4-6 hour window, we can promptly prevent damage by performing angioplasty or providing Clot-Dissolving medication.

In cases of Brain Stroke accompanied by sudden loss of consciousness or Paralysis, we offer emergency Clot-Dissolving medicine to eligible patients who arrive within four hours. Additionally, we possess a Thrombus Suction Device capable of opening Blocked Arteries and mitigating Brain Damage.
