My father has undergone robotic surgery on 29th November, 2011.
I would like to add that robotic surgery is a blessing to mankind as it results in fast recovery post surgery.
I would appreciate that during our stay at hospital we were properly looked after by your floor team (RMO, sister, brother, wardboy).
I would like to bring to your notice that you have a very good physiotherapy team. Thumbs Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and everybody who were instrumental in my father’s quick recovery at the Asian Heart Hospital in January 2012. My dad was diagnosed with prostate enlargement sometime in May 2011 when he experienced some difficulty in passing urine. Things went from bad to worse when his biopsy reports stated the gland has become cancerous and would need surgery sooner or later. It was seriously a nightmare for all of us. After taking opinions from 5 of the top urologists in the city over the period of 9 months, we finally had some sigh of relief when were introduced about the concept of new age robotic surgery (Robotic Prostactomy) which is known for limited blood loss and minimal post operative care. Dr. J.N Kulkarni, an uro-oncologist from Asian Heart Institute was the person who gave us an in-depth understanding of this new breakthrough in prostrate surgery and assured us that things would just be fine.
At the end of the day a surgery is a surgery - we too had our apprehensions when my dad was taken to the operation theatre on 15th January 2012. We had a huge sigh of relief when we were informed that the surgery went well. But post this the process of recovery had literally surprised all of us. With the help of some good physiotherapy, my dad started walking from the very next day. The hospital maintains high degree of sanitation and hygiene. I was in the hospital for next 4 days until his discharge and to be honest I never felt out of home. Each and every doctors, support staffs and ward boys were always on their toes to ensure the patient gets the best of their time and attention and this is one of the parameters which distinguish between a good hospital and a world class hospital. And in my opinion Asian Heart Institute should clearly be rated as World’s No. 1.
On a concluding note I would like to personally extend my thanks towards the following members:
Dr. J.N Kulkarni: He is no less than a life saving angel for us. He is a doctor of very high repute and the number of accolades he received till date speaks about his calibre. When you talk to him, you will realize how grounded he is and how nicely approaches each and every case giving a vital dose of confidence in the patients.
Dr. Mangesh Patil: Special thanks to Dr.MangeshPatil who visited my dad for routine check-ups and told him every time that he is just doing fine.
Every individual is compounded by good and trying times in their life time. In a bad situation the real strength of a person is determined how he/she copes with it and the people who stand by them. Each and every people from Asian Heart Institute deserve a THUMBS UP. My prayers and best wishes for each and every employee, panel of doctors and support staff members.
