Hi, I first came to know about Dr. Anjana and her dedicated team working at Asian Heart Institute through my orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Narvekar when I got a bad shoulder injury in the 2005 CHAMPIONS TROPHY at Chennai. I required urgent rehabilitation and physiotherapy and Dr. Anjana and her team gave me that.... and much more. Being an international hockey player, I have travelled the world and seen a lot of doctors and physiotherapists for my various injuries which are unfortunately quite frequent considering the nature of the sport. But no physiotherapist has quite impressed me with the kind of professionalism, efficiency, work ethics and intimate knowledge of especially sports injuries the way Dr. Anjana and her team have shown. We as elite sportsmen at the highest level are required to not only heal quickly from our injuries, but also come back to pre-injury fitness and strength. Dr. Anjana's team, backed up by some excellent infrastructure, has a total hands-on approach and they also never miss an opportunity to educate people like me about the nature of injuries, appropriate treatment, exercises and prevention. And best of all, Dr. Anjana has brought about a certain warmth and humane touch to an otherwise 'cold' profession. I'm sure that helps a patient to heal that much quicker. To, The Physiotherapy Team, Asian Heart Institute At the onset, permit me to thank you for getting me back on my feet. When physiotherapy was recommended to me for my slip disc, I was frankly extremely skeptical. Considering the fact that the first time I arrived at Asian Heart I could barely walk. But three months down the line I have just returned from a 10 day overseas tour and haven't felt better. This is all thanks to the sincere efforts of you and your team. I realize that no words could do justice to my appreciation. Only a person who has undergone the pain of a slipped disc would understand how indebted I feel at this moment. The first time I approached the Physiotherapy Dept. of Asian Heart Institute was when I had difficulty walking ten meters without excruciating pain, my back was in a really bad shape. Dr. Anjana & her team of physiotherapists have helped me enhance my fitness level to a point, where I am fitter than I was at age 20. I can swim everyday, go through a long day at work without any complaints and even keep up with my hectic traveling schedule. The credit for this change is due to the effort of the entire physiotherapy team at Asian Heart Institute. The care and attention they give is superb.
